Teaching in South Korea...
In the summer of 2012 I travelled to Seoul, South Korea to teach English at a childrens summer camp. This incredible trip was my first venture outside of Canada, and without my family. I loved learning about and experiencing Korean culture, tasting delicoius food, and meeting such warm and friendly people! I have truly fallen in love with Korea and look forward to returning again!
YMCA SWSE...
In the summer of 2014 I had the priviledge to participate in the YMCA Summer Work Student exchnage in Gatineau, Quebec. This incredible program offered to all Canadian students (ages 16 & 17) provides a job placement and home for every exchange participant. I enjoyed working at my first summer job, improving my French, and getting to know my host family!
Explore Program...
In 2016, I had the opportunity to return to Quebec this time to study French at Universite de Laval. Through the Explore program I received a $2,200 bursary to study French in an intensive university level language program for five weeks. During my time in Quebec I made amazing friends, experienced so much culture in the beautiful city, and made a huge improvement with my French skills!
